Edward Newgate and His Real World Powers

|Edward Newgate, AKA Whitebeard is said to be the strongest man alive.

His strength doens’t come from his unbelievable power, or his indurance, or his mind.

His one true power is that he alone possesses the ability to die only when he chooses to.

This means that, although He was fated to die, in One Piece, it wasn’t because the writer chose to, but because Newgate knew it was his time, and when he died, it was exactly the way Roger died, except Roger planned it, whilst Whitebeard died while knowing there’s a chance he could win (In the war). Only after he saw that there was no chance to win, he wanted to save as many of his crewmates as possible, and shouted the Most Famous declaration in One Piece: It Exists
