How to Have Motivation to Keep Doing More and More

Motivation is something that dies easily, and seems to come out randomly.

Not only that, but sometimes we are motivated but because we’re afraid to make mistakes, we don’t start or continue what we started.

And sometimes, even though we are motivated, we feel as though doing itself, anything, even though we want to do these things, is not worth it for some reason. Now, what is that reason?

What is that which stops us from doing the logical things and enjoying our time with doing what we truly want to do?

Habit.

But it’s not only habit of doing those things, but having a life that is comprised of habits. When our life is chaotic and we don’t know what to do most of the time, even though there are things we want to do, because we don’t have a life that’s structured around habits, this chaos makes us be purposeless and not do anything with ourselves.

Even if we feel immense purpose and will to live and self fulfill, because our life is not structured around healthy habits or schedules, this chaos numbs us, literally, and we find ourselves going things that give us instant gratification, when in fact, we’re not addicted to those things, they aren’t the problem.

The problem is that our life is chaotic and with this chaos and lack of structure that should be based on habits, we let go of all responsibilities and do nothing, because out of chaos only comes numbness or more chaos, that’s why we only sometimes fulfill our goals, “when we’re ready”, and not whenever we want.

In conclusion, the more structure we have in our life, the more we can do, because we have control over the narrative of our lives. But the more they are based on chaos and we don’t manage our time, the less control we have and the more we’ll have to base our decision making based on what we feel “in the moment”.

The key is to develop habits, no matter what for (but not addictions), and then our life will naturally develop patterns and we’ll have more control for change and control for doing things.

The more our life is based on habit, the more we can have control over diversifying it.
